Dr. Wheeler is a West Greenwich native and a graduate of Brown University. She received a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she also completed a Pre-doctoral Anatomy/ Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine fellowship. Dr. Wheeler was the 2004 recipient of the Charles W. Sauter Award, distinguishing her as the graduate whom the faculty would choose to be their own physician. She completed her internship at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, RI. Dr. Wheeler served as Chief Resident during her postgraduate training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital/ Harvard Medical School.
